Sara Chyan - Jewellery Designer - Aspire

Sara Chyan explores the unique temperature-aware colour and geometric shapes of bismuth to create stunning one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces.

Sara works with a range of unexpected materials. Bismuth is a rare low-melting-point metal. It is commonly used in fire detection systems, electrical fuses, stomach medicines, cosmetics, pigments, and bullets.

Sara uses it in her jewellery. The oxidation of bismuth is spectacular, where natural crystalised forms and colours can tell us the temperature. One colour represents one temperature, so it makes each piece exceptional.

Sara Chyan founded her brand in 2018 based on a project she began while studying for her Masters in Jewellery & Metal at the Royal College of Art.  The project has already won numerous international awards and has been featured in several high-profile magazines.
